Washington homeowners don't need another sales pitch about their roof — they need someone who shows up, explains what's actually wrong, and fixes it right the first time.
Before Roof Repair Smedway was a name on a truck, our foremen were already up on ladders across Washington, IL, figuring out which shingle brands actually hold their seal through a rough season and which ones just look good in a showroom.
Every lead technician we send to a Washington property carries current Washington, IL licensing and full insurance, and we'll produce that paperwork before you ask twice.
A roof repair that's "close enough" tends to fail again within a year, usually during the exact storm it was supposed to handle. We don't build that way.
Every lead installer carries current Washington, IL credentials.
Storms don't wait for office hours, so our on-call line doesn't either.
You approve a number before the crew touches your roof.
Faster arrivals because we're already close by.
Most emergency calls we get trace back to a smaller sign that went unnoticed for weeks or months.
None of the six signs below require an emergency call on their own, but each one is worth a scheduled inspection before it turns into something bigger.
If the water coming off your downspouts looks gritty, the shingle surface is thinner than it should be.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
Pinpricks of light in the attic are an early, fixable version of what becomes a leak later.
Sagging or soft drywall usually points to sustained moisture, not a single isolated drip.
Rooms that run noticeably hotter than the rest of the house often trace back to roof or attic issues.
Exposed underlayment is only a temporary barrier — it's not built to handle sustained exposure.
Whatever the issue — emergency, routine, or somewhere in between — it gets handled by a crew that specializes in that exact type of work.
Below is the full breakdown of what we cover in Washington, so you can see roughly where your situation fits before you even call.
Downed branches, torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingles all fall under our emergency response scope.
From a few cracked shingles to a complete tear-off, residential jobs get scoped against manufacturer spec, not a rough guess.
Commercial roofs run different membrane systems entirely, and our crews are trained specifically on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen.
We'll tell you honestly whether your roof needs a full replacement or just a targeted repair — we don't default to the bigger invoice.
A proper inspection checks flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and granule wear before small issues become leaks.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general repair crews often miss.
We keep this process the same whether it's a single shingle repair or a full Washington tear-off, because a predictable process is part of what makes a stressful roof problem manageable.
A dispatcher logs your address, roof type, and the problem, then schedules based on urgency.
A technician walks the roof and, when accessible, checks the attic side for the full picture.
An itemized estimate is delivered before any work starts, covering materials, labor, and cleanup.
Warranty paperwork is handed over the same day the job wraps.
None of these reasons are unique claims in the roofing industry on their own — what matters is that we actually deliver on all of them together, on every Washington job.
Being local means we're rarely the crew still driving in from somewhere else.
The number you approve in writing is the number on your final invoice, barring an approved scope change.
Crews carry moisture meters and proper fall protection on every job site.
We'd rather send a crew back for a small fix than leave a homeowner unsure.
Storm-damage jobs come with documentation formatted for how most Washington, IL adjusters review claims.
Some roofs need a full reroof; plenty just need one honest repair.
A verbal promise means nothing when you actually need it, so ours is documented and handed over at project close.
We also guarantee the number on your estimate — barring a scope change you approve first, that's the number on your invoice.
None of this is a marketing line — it's how every Washington job actually gets closed out, warranty paperwork included.
Roof Repair Smedway dispatches Hail Damage Roof Repair crews throughout Washington and the surrounding communities across Washington, IL, with coverage available further out on request.
When a storm moves through Washington, IL and call volume spikes, active leaks get prioritized first while we communicate realistic wait times for everything else.
We'd rather confirm coverage on a quick call than have a homeowner assume they're out of range and skip calling entirely.
